Hostels

I stayed at Ayres Porteņos one night. It was ok but just one computer and someone was on it all the time. I thought someone said they have wireless but they donīt. They do have an extra cable where you can plug in your laptop if you have a connection, but I donīt on my laptop so I left the next morning, even though otherwise it was a nice place. I went to Hostel de Granados a couple of blocks away.

Other Hostels I visted or heard about.

Petit Hostel aka The Old Curiosity Shop - San Telmo Area. Balcarce 776.

From Retiro Bus Station - Take bus 152 or 130. From the Domestic Airport (Jorge Newberry), bus 33.
From the International Airport (Ezeiza) you can take a local bus or a more expensive airport shuttle bus. The local bus cost about 2 pesos. The other one is called Manuel TIenda Leon and it costs about 30 pesos.

Sandanzas - I was walking there but the streets were getting darker and I felt a little afraid so I decided not to go there, but it looks interesting from their website.

Via Via -

Antico Boliva and Estados Unidos

When you get on the bus you have to tell the bus driver where you are gonig or how much you want to pay for the ticket. For example, if you are going to x then you might pay 80 centavos. So you can just say "ochenta", which means eighty. Or you can try to tell him where you want to go and he will tell you how much you need to pay. Then you put the change in the box. But you have to have change. The drivers don't have change so you can't even give them a 2 peso note, like you can in Salta. But Salta is going to be changing its system so you have to have change or a card. Times are a changin'
